CVSS v3.1 |
A vulnerability in the Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) subsystem of Cisco IOS XE 3.16 could allow an authenticated, remote attacker to cause a denial of service (DoS) condition. The vulnerability is due to a race condition that could occur when the affected software processes an SNMP read request that contains certain criteria for a specific object ID (OID) and an active crypto session is disconnected on an affected device. An attacker who can authenticate to an affected device could trigger this vulnerability by issuing an SNMP request for a specific OID on the device. A successful exploit will cause the device to restart due to an attempt to access an invalid memory region. The attacker does not control how or when crypto sessions are disconnected on the device. Cisco Bug IDs: CSCvb94392.
An issue was discovered in certain Apple products. iOS before 10.3.2 is affected. macOS before 10.12.5 is affected. tvOS before 10.2.1 is affected. watchOS before 3.2.2 is affected. The issue involves the "Kernel" component. A race condition allows attackers to execute arbitrary code in a privileged context via a crafted app.
Divide-by-zero vulnerability in the opj_tcd_init_tile function in tcd.c in OpenJPEG before 2.1.1 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (application crash) via a crafted jp2 file. NOTE: this issue exists because of an incorrect fix for CVE-2014-7947.
In F5 BIG-IP 12.1.0 through 12.1.2, permissions enforced by iControl can lag behind the actual permissions assigned to a user if the role_map is not reloaded between the time the permissions are changed and the time of the user's next request. This is a race condition that occurs rarely in normal usage; the typical period in which this is possible is limited to at most a few seconds after the permission change.
A command execution flaw on the Trend Micro Threat Discovery Appliance 2.6.1062r1 exists with the timezone parameter in the admin_sys_time.cgi interface.
A denial of service vulnerability in libstagefright in Mediaserver could enable an attacker to use a specially crafted file to cause a device hang or reboot. This issue is rated as Moderate because it requires an uncommon device configuration. Product: Android. Versions: 4.4.4, 5.0.2, 5.1.1, 6.0, 6.0.1, 7.0, 7.1.1, 7.1.2. Android ID: A-35763994.
Race condition in the fsnotify implementation in the Linux kernel through 4.12.4 allows local users to gain privileges or cause a denial of service (memory corruption) via a crafted application that leverages simultaneous execution of the inotify_handle_event and vfs_rename functions.
In all Android releases from CAF using the Linux kernel, time-of-check Time-of-use (TOCTOU) Race Conditions exist in several TZ APIs.
/usr/libexec/openldap/generate-server-cert.sh in openldap-servers sets weak permissions for the TLS certificate, which allows local users to obtain the TLS certificate by leveraging a race condition between the creation of the certificate, and the chmod to protect it.
Race condition in Network Manager before 1.0.12 as packaged in Red Hat Enterprise Linux Desktop 7, Red Hat Enterprise Linux HPC Node 7, Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server 7, and Red Hat Enterprise Linux Workstation 7 allows local users to obtain sensitive connection information by reading temporary files during ifcfg and keyfile changes.
The _TIFFFax3fillruns function in libtiff before 4.0.6 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (divide-by-zero error and application crash) via a crafted Tiff image.
In F5 BIG-IP LTM, AAM, AFM, Analytics, APM, ASM, DNS, Link Controller, PEM and WebSafe software version 13.0.0 and 12.1.0 - 12.1.2, race conditions in iControl REST may lead to commands being executed with different privilege levels than expected.
The sbr_make_f_master function in aacsbr.c in Libav 11.7 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (divide-by-zero error and application crash) via a crafted mp3 file.
The gst_riff_create_audio_caps function in gst-libs/gst/riff/riff-media.c in gst-plugins-base in GStreamer before 1.10.3 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (floating point exception and crash) via a crafted video file.
NVIDIA Windows GPU Display Driver contains a vulnerability in the kernel mode layer handler for DxgkDdiCreateAllocation where untrusted user input is used as a divisor without validation while processing block linear information which may lead to a potential divide by zero and denial of service.
The Microsoft Malware Protection Engine running on Microsoft Forefront and Microsoft Defender on Microsoft Windows Server 2008 SP2 and R2 SP1, Windows 7 SP1, Windows 8.1, Windows Server 2012 Gold and R2, Windows RT 8.1, Windows 10 Gold, 1511, 1607, and 1703, and Windows Server 2016, Microsoft Exchange Server 2013 and 2016, does not properly scan a specially crafted file leading to denial of service. aka "Microsoft Malware Protection Engine Denial of Service Vulnerability", a different vulnerability than CVE-2017-8535, CVE-2017-8536, CVE-2017-8537, and CVE-2017-8542.
Linux kernel: Exploitable memory corruption due to UFO to non-UFO path switch. When building a UFO packet with MSG_MORE __ip_append_data() calls ip_ufo_append_data() to append. However in between two send() calls, the append path can be switched from UFO to non-UFO one, which leads to a memory corruption. In case UFO packet lengths exceeds MTU, copy = maxfraglen - skb->len becomes negative on the non-UFO path and the branch to allocate new skb is taken. This triggers fragmentation and computation of fraggap = skb_prev->len - maxfraglen. Fraggap can exceed MTU, causing copy = datalen - transhdrlen - fraggap to become negative. Subsequently skb_copy_and_csum_bits() writes out-of-bounds. A similar issue is present in IPv6 code. The bug was introduced in e89e9cf539a2 ("[IPv4/IPv6]: UFO Scatter-gather approach") on Oct 18 2005.
In TrustZone a time-of-check time-of-use race condition could potentially exist in a listener routine in all Android releases from CAF using the Linux kernel.
An issue was discovered in certain Apple products. macOS before 10.12.4 is affected. The issue involves the "AppleGraphicsPowerManagement" component. A race condition allows attackers to execute arbitrary code in a privileged context via a crafted app.
In all Qualcomm products with Android releases from CAF using the Linux kernel, there is a TOCTOU race condition in Secure UI.
