| Uncontrolled Resource Consumption vulnerability in hexpm hexpm/hexpm allows Excessive Allocation. Publishing an oversized package can cause Hex.pm to run out of memory while extracting the uploaded package tarball. This can terminate the affected application instance and result in a denial of service for package publishing and potentially other package-processing functionality.

| GStreamer DVB Subtitles Out-Of-Bounds Write Remote Code Execution Vulnerability. This vulnerability allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on affected installations of GStreamer. Interaction with this library is required to exploit this vulnerability but attack vectors may vary depending on the implementation.
The specific flaw exists within the handling of coordinates. The issue results from the lack of proper validation of user-supplied data, which can result in a write past the end of an allocated buffer. | A command injection vulnerability was identified in TP-Link TL-WR802N v4, TL-WR841N v14, and TL-WR840N v6 due to improper neutralization of special elements used in an OS command. In the router configuration import function allows an authenticated attacker to upload a crafted configuration file that results in execution of OS commands with root privileges during port-trigger processing.
Successful exploitation allows an authenticated attacker to execute system commands with root privileges, leading to full device compromise. |
| Angular is a development platform for building mobile and desktop web applications using TypeScript/JavaScript and other languages. Prior to 22.0.0-next.3, 21.2.4, 20.3.18, and 19.2.20, a Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability has been identified in the Angular runtime and compiler. It occurs when the application uses a security-sensitive attribute (for example href on an anchor tag) together with Angular's ability to internationalize attributes. Enabling internationalization for the sensitive attribute by adding i18n-<attribute> name bypasses Angular's built-in sanitization mechanism, which when combined with a data binding to untrusted user-generated data can allow an attacker to inject a malicious script. This vulnerability is fixed in 22.0.0-next.3, 21.2.4, 20.3.18, and 19.2.20. |

| A Use-After-Free vulnerability has been discovered in GRUB's gettext module. This flaw stems from a programming error where the gettext command remains registered in memory after its module is unloaded. An attacker can exploit this condition by invoking the orphaned command, causing the application to access a memory location that is no longer valid. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability to cause grub to crash, leading to a Denial of Service. Possible data integrity or confidentiality compromise is not discarded. |
| Early versions of Operator-SDK provided an insecure method to allow operator containers to run in environments that used a random UID. Operator-SDK before 0.15.2 provided a script, user_setup, which modifies the permissions of the /etc/passwd file to 664 during build time. Developers who used Operator-SDK before 0.15.2 to scaffold their operator may still be impacted by this if the insecure user_setup script is still being used to build new container images.
In affected images, the /etc/passwd file is created during build time with group-writable permissions and a group ownership of root (gid=0). An attacker who can execute commands within an affected container, even as a non-root user, may be able to leverage their membership in the root group to modify the /etc/passwd file. This could allow the attacker to add a new user with any arbitrary UID, including UID 0, leading to full root privileges within the container. |
